Your thoughts for the workweek
Your thoughts for the workweekYou still had twenty minutes before you go back to your working place. And you couldnt help but muse about the summer season. You winced at what happened in the past. It wont be the first time you passed out, and how your housemates made fun of you. (You put it behind. You could laugh about it.) Your thoughts were elsewhereThis welches one summer you rather not talk about it. Your colleagues seemed disappointed when you gave them a few details about your holiday in Indochina last year. You wanted an upgrade to business class during your flight to Bangkok, so you tried to mimic Tony Stark. You were a huge fan of Iron Man, as your housemates swore your uncanny resemblance to Robert Downey, Jr. You forgot your inebriated state. The receptionist gave you a blank expression, which was her way of telling you that she didnt have any time for this kind of tomfoolery. And you acted like a spoiled child (on your economy seat). It didnt end there, as you made a sce ne at the hostel. (You yperit your backpack, which contained your iPad and other valuables. You insinuated that someone stole it. It turned out that you left it in the lobby, and one backpacker noticed it right away. It was the heat.) It was followed with your misadventures on the road. (You could have joined the group tour, which cost a little bit more than traveling on your own. You were too stubborn.) There were more instances, which you rather not recall the details. You swore not to set foot in the Far East, and you made a promise in front of your puzzled colleagues. What would be the antonym of geek? Your colleagues were suppressing their laughter. What would be a term for an anti-nerd? No one could give the right answer, which would amuse them. You didnt like what you heard, as you were a geek. You were far from the stereotypical image of a nerd, as you knew a number of people who dont look like the nerdy type. There was Socrates, who was a huge football fan. And then your eye s widened with embarrassment. (It was Socrates Brasileiro Sampaio de Souza Vieira de Oliveira, a midfielder who practiced medicine.) You thought of Samuel Beckett, who could be a first-class cricketer. Appearance could make a good first impression, which you would learn during your first job interview. How to teach healthy eating? You didnt care less, as you were young enough to worry about old age. You dont drink too much alcohol, not even lose sleep. You love too much on a carrot. These habits helped you to do well in the workplace. You dont mind a binge on beer and chips on a Friday night. This would be your idea of winding down after a workweek. But you couldnt afford to do it for years. You might change this habit next year.It was time to go back to the workplace. And you were eager to schliff the remaining tasks. It was Friday.
